Set 4 Favorite Templates
Template favorites allow you to customize and optimize Post Sunday's automatic content creation.
When you favorite templates, Post Sunday will prioritize them when automatically creating content, helping you maintain consistency and save time.
How to Favorite Templates
- Open the clip editor for videos, images, or thumbnails
- Locate the template you want to favorite
- Click the heart icon on the template to favorite it
Benefits of Using Template Favorites
Optimize for Your Camera Setup
If your church's camera setup works better with specific frame sizes (wide or narrow), favorite these templates to ensure your content always fits perfectly. This reduces the need for manual adjustments after clips are created.
Streamline Audio-Only Content
For sermon-only exports or podcasts, favorite the no-video templates to ensure Post Sunday automatically selects the most appropriate templates for your audio content.
Prioritize Custom Templates
When you've created or customized templates for your church, favoriting them ensures they'll be used first when generating new content. This helps maintain your church's unique branding across all content.
Handle On-Screen Graphics
Some templates are more effective at handling on-screen graphics from your original video. By favoriting these templates, you can ensure cleaner, more professional-looking content that properly displays or covers existing graphics.
Best Practices
- Review your existing content to identify which templates consistently work best with your setup
- Start by favoriting 4 templates that align with your needs
- Regularly evaluate your favorited templates and adjust as your needs change
- Consider favoriting a mix of templates to handle different content scenarios (e.g., both video and audio-only content)
Tips for Success
- Test different templates with your actual content before favoriting them
- Remember you can always unfavorite templates if they no longer suit your needs
- Share your favorite template selections with your team to maintain consistency
- Use template favorites in combination with other Post Sunday features for the most efficient workflow
Set Sermon Timestamps
Why Set Timestamps?
When uploading a new sermon, specifying the exact start and end times of the spoken portion (sermon, homily, etc.) provides several important benefits:
- Faster Processing: Trimmed content processes 2-3 times faster than full recordings
- Focused YouTube Exports: Your YouTube videos will contain only the relevant content
- Optimized Podcasts: Your podcast audio will automatically be trimmed to the sermon portion
Tip: Select timestamps that include a brief buffer (2-3 seconds) before and after the sermon
How to Set Timestamps
-
While creating a new sermon, locate and click the "Adjust start/end time" button:
-
Enter timestamps in the HH:MM:SS format (hours:minutes:seconds):
- Start Time (required): The exact timestamp when the sermon begins
- End Time (optional): The timestamp when the sermon concludes
Example: In the image above, the sermon will be processed from 22 minutes and 13 seconds (00:22:13) to 1 hour, 3 minutes, and 2 seconds (01:03:02).
Tip: If you leave the end time blank, the system will process the recording to its conclusion

A Simple Weekly Posting Schedule
How to Keep Your Church Active on Facebook
Not sure how often to post or what to share? Here's a simple schedule that many churches are using with great results.
You'll post:
- 3 Video Clips
- 2 Images
- 1 Text Post
It sounds like a lot, but with Post Sunday, you can create and schedule all of it in under 13 minutes.
Step-by-Step Weekly Schedule
Follow this plan to keep your church's social media active and engaging:
- Monday – Post a sermon reel that captures the main message or most powerful moment
- Tuesday – Share an encouraging quote image generated from your sermon
- Wednesday – Upload a short clip with a personal or emotional moment that people can relate to
- Thursday – Post a text-only discussion question pulled from your small group guide to spark engagement
- Friday – End the week with another strong reel from the sermon to reinforce the message
Pro Tip: Use Post Sunday's scheduling feature to set all of these up in one sitting—you don't need to log in every day. What churches are saying: "Our engagement on social media went up 40% after two weeks of using Post Sunday!"
This weekly rhythm helps reinforce your message and keeps your congregation connected throughout the week.
Get Feedback from Your Team
Why Use the Feedback Feature?
Post Sunday makes it easy for pastors, team leads, or other decision-makers to quickly review clips and give feedback—without slowing down your workflow.
You can give each post a simple thumbs up or thumbs down, and even leave a comment to explain why. This helps your team know which clips are ready to use and which ones might need a tweak.
Tip: After someone gives feedback, Post Sunday automatically emails your team about 10 minutes later with the updates—so everyone stays in the loop.
How to Use It
- Navigate to your sermon clips in Post Sunday
- Click the thumbs up 👍 or thumbs down 👎 under each clip
- (Optional) Leave a quick comment to share what you like—or what you'd change
That's it! The rest happens automatically.
Common Use Cases
- Pastors who want to sign off on posts before they go out
- Creative team leads giving quick approvals or notes
- Social media volunteers looking for clarity on what to publish
Real-World Example: "I love that I can review the clips on Monday morning, leave feedback, and by lunch my team already knows which ones to post. Huge time-saver!"
This feature helps keep your team aligned, speeds up review cycles, and makes sure the right content goes out at the right time.
